PLANO, Texas, Nov. 27, 2023 Anticipation has been building for Toyota's latest NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) addition, and today, the wait is finally over. The automotive giant recently unveiled the next-generation Toyota Camry XSE race car, set to debut in the 2024 NCS season. The Camry XSE Next Gen builds on the legacies of its predecessor, the Toyota Camry TRD Next Gen, which achieved 18 victories and secured 25 poles over the past two seasons.

The striking new XSE race car is the fruit of a collaborative effort between Toyota, TRD (Toyota Racing Development, U.S.A.), and Calty Design. The team ensured this latest NASCAR Cup car mirrored the body styling of the recently launched 2025 Toyota Camry XSE road car as closely as possible.
The Camry XSE race car flaunts a unique hammerhead design on its front fascia, accented by an upper grille slot that seamlessly merges with the streamlined, wide headlights. Additional features include C-shaped corner vents on the larger lower grille area and newly designed character lines on the hood.
The race car's rear fascia includes revised quarter panel styling and chamfered bumper corners on the back of the corner panels that blend into the rear bumper. These updates, coupled with sleeker taillights, give the new Camry race car a more sculpted profile befitting a NASCAR racer.
“The 2024 Camry XSE race car will properly highlight Toyota’s attention to detail, as has been showcased in the new street version [of the] Camry. We are excited to bring this car to the race track and continue to achieve success with it for years to come,” said Paul Doleshal, group manager of motorsports at TMNA (Toyota Motor North America).
“The amount of work put into this car’s production cannot be overstated, and we thank everyone at TRD and Calty Design for their efforts in creating a premier vehicle for our team partners to compete for wins and championships.”
Toyota maintains its unique position in NASCAR as the only manufacturer to feature three distinct nameplates across the three national series: the Camry in the NCS, the GR Supra in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS), and the Tundra TRD Pro in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS).
Since its entrance into the NCS and NXS in 2007, Toyota has celebrated 180 NCS wins and three NCS championships, along with 201 NXS victories and four NXS titles. Moreover, since its foray into the NCTS in 2004, Toyota has scored 228 wins and nine Truck Series championships.
The upcoming 2024 NASCAR Cup Series marks the 76th installment of professional stock car racing in the United States, celebrating the 53rd season of the modern-era Cup Series.
Commencing with the Busch Light Clash on February 4 at the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the season unfolds with the Bluegreen Vacations Duel qualifying races on February 15, leading up to the 66th edition of the Daytona 500—the inaugural points race on February 18, all hosted at the renowned Daytona International Speedway.
The grand finale awaits at Phoenix Raceway on November 10, where the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race will determine the ultimate victor. Notably, this season is marked by Kevin Harvick’s absence, who retired post-2023 and will grace the NASCAR on Fox broadcast booth in 2024.
Furthermore, it marks the culmination of NASCAR's current TV rights deal, initiated in 2015, and stands as the first full-time season without Aric Almirola since 2011.
David Wilson, president of TRD, emphasized that "the foundation of Toyota’s presence in NASCAR is our commitment to continuous improvement on and off the race track.
Our Camry XSE race car reinforces that mantra and accurately reflects the key design attributes of the all-new production Toyota Camry.
As we prepare for the 2024 season, we look forward to working closely with our race team partners to optimize the performance of the newly-designed Camry race car so we can continue our legacy of leading laps, winning races, and competing for championships with the Camry nameplate."

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season will witness an exciting addition as LEGACY MOTOR CLUB joins the race, bringing the total number of Toyota Camry XSEs on track to eight every weekend.
The new racing season will kick off with the Clash at the Coliseum exhibition race in Los Angeles, California, in February.
"The addition of LEGACY MOTOR CLUB to the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season is a significant step. We're excited about having eight Toyota Camry XSEs compete every weekend, which will certainly intensify the competition," added Doleshal. "Every race will be an opportunity to showcase the advanced features and capabilities of the Camry XSE race car."
