The BMW Panoramic iDrive set to debut at CES 2025 features a curved, full-width display that stretches across nearly the entire dashboard. This creates an immersive and visually stunning in-vehicle experience. A large central touchscreen takes center stage, providing easy access to various infotainment and vehicle controls.

Information traditionally displayed on the instrument cluster is now projected onto a wide HUD located behind the steering wheel. This allows drivers to keep their eyes on the road while accessing important data. The traditional instrument cluster is removed, and all necessary information is integrated into the HUD and central touchscreen.

The system supports vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-home bi-directional charging, adding flexibility for owners. An LED strip bisects the dashboard, providing ambient lighting that enhances the overall aesthetic and user experience.

What’s So Great About It?

The design focuses on keeping the driver oriented and informed without distracting them from the road. By integrating critical information into the HUD, the system aims to improve driver safety. The system offers a high degree of personalization, allowing drivers to customize their in-vehicle experience.

The Panoramic iDrive will be featured in BMW's upcoming Neue Klasse vehicles, starting with the next-generation iX3, set to launch in late 2025. This new system represents a significant leap forward in automotive technology, setting new standards for in-vehicle experience.
