Lexus Offers The 2024 TX As A Three-Row Full-Size SUV With Three Powertrains And Up To A Massive 406 Horsepower

Lexus recently introduced its latest addition to its lineup, the 2024 TX. This new model fills the gap left by the discontinuation of the three-row RX L for the 2023 model year, providing a smaller three-row option for customers. 

The 2024 TX is expected to offer a range of features and capabilities that will appeal to a broad audience. With this new release, Lexus aims to continue meeting the needs of its customers and remain competitive in the automotive market.

Lexus has announced that the upcoming TX model will be available in three different powertrain options. 

The first is the TX 350, which will be equipped with a 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that can produce 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque.Customers will have the option of selecting either front- or all-wheel-drive configurations.

The second powertrain option is the TX 500h, which will only be offered in the F Sport Performance grade and with Direct4 AWD. It will come with a 2.4-liter hybrid powertrain that generates 366 hp and 409 lb-ft of torque.

The third and final powertrain option is the TX550h+, which will be a plug-in hybrid and will use a 3.5-liter V6 engine. This model will be able to produce 406 horsepower and will have an estimated pure-electric range of 33 miles.

The 2024 TX will be available in four different grades: Standard, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Performance. Customers will have the option to choose from a variety of trims and specs to find the perfect fit for their needs.

Neither A Compact SUV Nor A Full-Fledged Full-Sizer

The TX is built on the GA-K platform, which is also used for the new Toyota Grand Highlander. As a result, there are some similarities in both the exterior and interior styling between the two vehicles. 

However, the TX has its own unique design elements that set it apart from the Grand Highlander and give it a distinct look and feel. Overall, the use of the GA-K platform provides a solid foundation for the TX, ensuring that it will deliver a comfortable and capable ride for drivers and passengers alike.

Lexus has yet to announce the price of the TX, which will be replacing the RX L in the automaker's lineup. The previous entry-level 2022 RX 350 L had a starting price just under $50,000 (around ₦23 million, using the official exchange rate). 

However, the 2023 two-row RX has seen a slight increase in price, with a starting price of $49,450, including destination charges (around ₦22.8 million). 

Production of the 2024 TX is expected to begin soon, with the vehicle hitting dealership lots in the near future. 

With its spacious interior, advanced features, and powerful performance, the TX is sure to be a popular choice among customers looking for a reliable and capable crossover.
