Land Rover recently revealed its latest addition to the Defender family, the 2024 Land Rover Defender, and it is already causing a stir among car enthusiasts. 

The extraordinarily popular luxury midsize SUV reportedly costs $57,875 (₦26.7 million, based on official exchange rate) to get started and can exceed $120,000 (₦55.4 million), depending on the variant and options. 

The new Defender builds on the success of the previous model, which was reintroduced to the market in 2020. 

The 2024 Defender boasts a range of features that make it the perfect off-road vehicle, while also offering a comfortable and luxurious experience for everyday driving. 

Under the Defender's hood lies a range of engine options to suit different motoring needs and preferences.

The base model features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that outputs 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. There is also a more powerful option available, featuring a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 518 horsepower and 461 lb-ft of torque. 

The new Defender also boasts a range of off-road features, including a two-speed transfer case, locking differentials, and a Terrain Response system, which allows drivers to adjust the vehicle's settings to suit different driving conditions. 

The SUV's rugged exterior is complemented by a spacious and luxurious interior with all the latest technology, including a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 14-speaker Meridian sound system. 

Safety features on the 2024 Defender include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking, among others. 

According to Land Rover, the new Defender is designed for drivers who want a vehicle that can take on any challenge, whether it's off-roading or city driving. The SUV's advanced technology and luxurious features make it suitable for both. 

The new Defender comes in three body styles, including the 2-door, 5-seat Defender 90, Defender 110, and the Defender 130 that adds a third-row seat to comfortably accommodate up to eight passengers.
