The 2024 Mini Cooper SE, thanks to its larger 54.2kWh lithium-ion battery mated to an e-motor, produces a reported total power output of 218 horsepower (160 kW) and a total torque of 244 lb-ft. It features a front-wheel-drive configuration and utilizes a single-speed automatic transmission.
The Mini Cooper SE can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 6.7 seconds, enough for confident overtaking and merging. The electric hatchback has a top speed of 106 mph and an estimated real-world range between 137 miles to 286 miles for the SE, depending on various driving conditions such as weather, speed, and driving style.
As mentioned earlier, the new Mini Cooper SE supports home/destination charging using a Type 2 charge port. It has a charge power of 11 kW AC, allowing it to charge from 0 to 193-mile (310 km) range in about 5 hours and 15 minutes.
Equipped with a CCS fast-charge port, the car supports fast charging with a maximum power of 95 kW DC. It can charge from 20 miles (31 km) to 154 miles (248 km) range in just 29 minutes. Ultimately, the 2024 Mini Cooper SE's powertrain and performance showcase efficient electric propulsion and convenient charging capabilities.
