Stellantis has announced a strategic shift in the launch timing for its much-anticipated range-extended Ram 1500 Ramcharger, pushing its debut ahead of the Ram 1500 REV, the company’s first battery-electric light-duty pickup truck. Initially, Ram had planned to unveil the Ram 1500 REV in the first half of 2025.
However, in response to significant consumer interest and a desire to stay ahead in technology, coupled with a slowdown in industry demand for half-ton BEV pickups, the company decided to prioritize the Ramcharger launch. The new timeline will see the Ramcharger available for consumer orders in the US in the first half of 2025, with the Ram 1500 REV following in 2026. Details regarding the availability of these models for European customers will be announced separately.
