No one is more “all in” than BMW when it comes to performance sedans. Not even Mercedes-Benz with its AMG GT models can match the sheer number of performance sedans built by BMW over the years. Even so, BMW and Mercedes do not have a monopoly of the sports sedan segment. 

Although everyone is welcome to play in this field, only a few models can challenge the Bimmer’s dominance of the high-performance sedan segment. Not if we’re talking about the quickest 4-door sedans off the mark. We looked far and near to compile this list, making sure our selection isn’t restricted to familiar names in North America. 

These sedans are in a league of their own, each capable of rocketing from 0 to 60 mph in an astonishing 2 seconds. Well, most made it in less than three seconds – not quite leaving the “2-second” threshold.
